Deposit investments are secured at PEAC (Germany) GmbH. We belong to the Compensation Scheme of German Banks („Entschädigungseinrichtung deutscher Banken GmbH“ (EdB)). This means that the statutory protection required by the German Deposit Protection Act (EinSiG) is covered by the Compensation Scheme of German Banks. According to this requirement, in Germany the legislator stipulates a statutory protection of 100,000 Euros per customer per credit institution.
Complaint and out-of-court dispute resolution:
a) First, it is possible to file a complaint regarding violations of PEAC (Germany) GmbH from the scope of application of the Payment Services Act (Sections 675c to 676c of the German Civil Code, Article 248 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code, Section 48 of the Payment Accounts Act and provisions of the Payment Services Supervision Act) with the Conciliation Board at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin):

b) The Deutsche Bundesbank has also set up a consumer arbitration board. A leaflet and a conciliation application form are available for download on the website www.bundesbank.de. A complaint must be submitted in text form, e.g. letter, fax or e-mail, to:

c) The European Commission has established a platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution (so-called ODR platform) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. A consumer can use the ODR platform for the out-of-court settlement of a dispute arising from online contracts with a company established in the EU.
d) In the event of complaints in connection with the deposit business conducted by Raisin GmbH on behalf of PEAC (Germany) GmbH, the customer also has the following extrajudicial options:
The Customer may contact Raisin GmbH directly with a complaint. Generally, the following information is required for the processing of the complaint:
- complete contact details of the complainant (address, telephone, e-mail)
- description of the case’s facts
- formulation of the request or indication of what is to be achieved with the complaint (e.g. correction of errors, improvement of services, clarification of a difference of disagreement)
- if necessary, a copy of documents that help to understand the case’s facts
- in case of representation, the power of attorney
In the case of a complaint, the following procedure is regularly followed:
- receipt of the complaint
- internal examination of the facts
- first feedback from Raisin GmbH within 15 working days
- if necessary, further internal examination of the facts
- decision about further proceeding
- notification of the decision
